1. Thou shall establish a sense of "belonging" for the team while recognizing the individuality of each player.
2. Thou shall act as a responsible role model and realize that as the coach you may be a "hero" to my players.
3. Thou shall honor the accomplishments of your players on multiple levels: personal, social, academic, and athletic.
4. Thou shall promote the notion that sports should be fun and exciting.
5. Thou shall provide an environment that encourages players to be curious and creative in order for them to explore interests and initiate ideas.
6. Thou shall sustain a safe, "supportive," challenging environment so players will push their own limits and embrace a spirit of adventure.
7. Thou shall recognize the "importance" that "each player" Be given the opportunity to be a leader with responsibility.
8. Thou shall instill in players the confidence to take action so they can set goals and have the work ethic necessary to achieve them.
